The Oversight Pathway is for church leaders who hold responsibility for the oversight of lay, everyday planters of new Christian communities.
(The Oversight Pathway may also be applicable to church leaders with oversight of ordained church planters).
This online short course, developed in partnership with CPAS, enables church leaders to empower and release other leaders.
Description: 3x 2hr sessions exploring:
- Context and leadership: the need for different models of church and different modes of leadership.
- The world of the everyday planter: understanding the everyday people seeking to start new church communities and how to support them well.
- Working well together: establishing good patterns of line-management and understanding particular dynamics of oversight.
Outcomes: By the end of the course you will have:
- A better understanding of your role as oversight minister both practically and theologically
- Begun to explore some of the challenges of your role
- Understood how you can best support and encourage lay church planters
- Gained a better understanding of the context of everyday church planting within a mixed ecology
- Identified some of the characteristics and skills lay church planters demonstrate and need
- Developed an outline plan for working with and overseeing everyday church planters
The Myriad Oversight Pathway is offered online and is open to all church leaders who will be overseeing a lay planter on a Myriad Pathway.
