Myriad exists to support the planting of thousands of new, predominantly lay-led churches. This page brings together the vision, the research behind it, the offer on the table, and real stories from teams already on the journey — so you and your team can explore the call with open eyes.
Across England, every day Christians are sensing a call to start something new: a church community that reaches people the existing church isn't yet reaching. Myriad exists to help them do that well - training and forming local leaders and teams (predominantly lay-led) in learning communities, through Myriad Hubs. This learning is backed by research and strengthened through mentoring, the support of an oversight minister and an ongoing support network.
Learning Community
Five in-person gatherings for testimony, accountability, input, reflection, prayer and making action plans. All team members attend.
Oversight
Teams are overseen by an ordained leader and the Oversight Pathway is offered to strengthen this aspect.
Mentoring
Regular meetings with a trained mentor who will walk alongside a team leader throughout their journey.
Three short films — the vision behind Myriad, what the journey looks like for a lay planter, and a couple reflecting honestly on their own experience of the Pathway.

Real teams, real Hubs, told in their own words.

Who is this for?
A team, not a lone individual, who together sense a call to start a new church community, with the backing of an established church leader.
What's the commitment?
The Myriad Pathway runs over 2.5 years, with regular in-person gathering days at your local Hub, ongoing mentoring, and oversight from your sending church leader throughout.
Do I need to be ordained or in full-time ministry?
No. Myriad is built around predominantly lay-led teams — most planters continue in their existing jobs and life circumstances while they plant. However we have had some clergy-led teams participate in the Pathway.
What does it cost?
Costs vary by Hub- get in touch with your nearest Hub for the current details.
What kind of team do we need?
A team usually consists of 2-5 people — what matters is a shared calling, a willingness to learn together, and the support of a sending church.
